About Carrickfergus Enterprise
Continuing to make a difference since 1981
Who We Are
Carrickfergus Enterprise has been providing support for over four decades to assist entrepreneurs to establish, expand and accelerate the growth of their business.
The social enterprise was established in 1981 to address mass job losses in the local area following the closure of key manufacturing companies including ICI and Courtaulds.
As one of the oldest enterprise agencies in Northern Ireland, it has been responsible for a range of employability and business successes both in Carrickfergus area and across Northern Ireland. Since its inception, Carrickfergus Enterprise has played a pivotal role within the East Antrim business community. We have developed a reputation for developing innovative and practical solutions for the development of the small business sector. This includes Enterprising Women, a network for female entrepreneurs within Mid & East Antrim as well as the Coastal Hub series, providing mentoring and support to 60 tourism businesses across three Council areas.
